Church President Reports from Bryant Park and 4 W 43rd Street
Church President Dr. Michael Balcomb reports from New York City’s lush green oasis of Bryant Park, one of his favorite places in Manhattan. He explains the rebirth of Bryant Park as a metaphor for the rebirth for the church in America. Both the park and the church have a determination to take back things that have been lost. Next, Rev. Demian Dunkley joins Dr. Balcomb in the park and tells about progress at the church’s media services department that can boost new interest in the church. Rev. Dunkley explains about the creation of new, artistic window decals for 4 West 43rdStreet and a behind-the-scenes video is shown. The pair checks out the final product up close, as Rev. Dunkley explains more about the how each decal image has its own visual and textual message that create a story. The window covers are getting interest from folks on the sidewalk. Derived from the artwork are small cards and bookmarks that can be used all over the world for outreach. Dr. Balcomb ends the video expressing his excitement for projects such as these that take the best talent we have and apply them to the most important tasks of witnessing and outreach.
