    The Text :

We're the most alone while in a crowd
We're bloated the most when there isn't room for yet a toothpick on a table
Our most elder comes into being after oppressing our youngest. And when our youngest is ready to give up a limb, they grow!
The safest place are those arms.
Insecurity is the name given to love even when love is still present.
The one with the most patience will pull teeth, wheras the least patient will drum fingers on a table.
While our most faithful will shy to gaze into a mirror, the one yelling "We don't exist" will catch them in the air.
Our blind see. The unblind don't even look.
While our masters free our binds, those killed for freedom will spit on the graves of those who died for freedom.
While the bravest don their armor, our most cowardly will hiding behind a lanky tree.
We run to those who scream the loudest. Perhaps it's the silent ones who are suffering more, we cannot know.
We hear the most in pure silence. The deafest is the one who talks the most.
Those content with less always have a store under the pillow. One who puts palms into another palm will bleed.
Widths to heights, heights to widths..
The ones with sight are blind, and while our blind are laughing, I get very bored..

  4. LOV, the new autumn-winter 2011-2012 film directed by Stephanie Di Giusto.
After Lou Doillon, there is the appearance of a another heroine: Kate Bosworth. Her mysteriousness, her strength. Also another side to femininity, a stirring truthfulness which is renewed with every look, every movement accompanied by a wisp of assertiveness and purity. A new gracefulness progressing to a confident allure, conquering, a battling frailty.
It starts with an urban universe almost futuristic where this femininity comes up against angles, up against emptiness where lines are sought for and where poetry is found. A surrealistic dance, frantic and lively giving a light note to this ballad, this adventure which is perhaps the landscape of a soul.
Then the thread of the tale gets tenser. We come across a more solemn Kate, looking inwards, a mysterious warrior. Kate runs away, frightened by her dark double, perhaps her mirror reflection, perhaps her sister in dreams. White horses bolt with the music, liberating her wildness and the impatient purity of her energy, of her victory.
Euphoria of flight, of a grace released from the surface, from reality. Light headed. Kate is at the top of a tree of life giving herself up to an appeasing sun, to a sensual rapture winging towards the heart of the matter, streaming along, a reflection on the water.
    In fact, a love story.

  5. The Vanessa Bruno catalogues are already seen as out of the ordinary offerings in the world of fashion. Her work with photographer Mark Borthwick has always expressed a desire for freedom in tune with nature and the body.

This season, Vanessa has decided to go further by asking Stéphanie Di Giusto to film Lou Doillon, already seen in the last catalogue. Stéphanie is a young artist, both video director and photographer, who has worked notably with Brigitte Fontaine, Camille and the New Young Pony Club, as well as Sliimy.

Lou is a presence where all the ambiguities of femininity seems to be in motion, both feline and delicate, incarnate yet secret.

The film captures this fleeting impression of a life force wishing to unfurl in shadow and light.
It consequently unfolds in three movements:
-The intimacy of a woman, fragile and animal-like, in the depths of the earth. Time is seemingly suspended.
-The wind rises, the rhythm gets carried away to the beat of percussion. Determined, she gains momentum against a red background. Hearts race and the editing goes wild.
    - Her black silhouette is freed in the sky. She reflects the radiance of a sun in her mirror, triumphant and dazzling. She wakes up to the world, to shapes, to materials.
Finally her stolen smiles are a reminder that, for Vanessa Bruno, the most important things about a woman are naturalness and authenticity.

Always very present in the world of Vanessa Bruno, here the music calls for the voice of Linda Perhacs, a fragile folk sound, before the march and flight of Final Fantasy. This musical trend is also found in her fashion show.

This is both story and emotion. A film like a poem. A delicate and refined collection.

The film can be viewed on the http://www.vanessa bruno.com site from 9th September, 2009.
