Although this is an excerpt, I am truly proud of having been able to capture this moment. Gary, being paralyzed and unable to walk, was working on visualizing himself walking. I simply filmed various moments of this hour or so process. I would grab shots of his face, various angles of his legs, and then, filmed and filmed the close-up of his feet. The structure and passiveness of the scene may make it feel like it is scripted. I assure you it is not. It is edited in the nature of mediation and patience.

Moments such as this does not occur without incredible trust between the filmmaker and the subjects he or she is filming.
The following is a moment captured in the feature documentary "TIGER".
Shot on July 21, 2013 in ICU, 21 days after Gary's accident. Gary was unable to talk, and doctors were not sure if he would ever be able to speak or breath on his own.
Shooting with Epic Red, 50mm anamorphic lens, I framed up a side shot of Gary and Chrissy, and captured an endearing moment of love and happiness in the midst of a tragic situation.
The Following is a video diary of Gary "Tiger" Balletto, after a spinal cord injury.
Dec 22. 2013, Gary was placed back into to the hospital with a UTI, sepsis, mercer and a 106.3 degree temperature. As he began to feel better, we recorded some video diaries so that he could vent. This is one of those moments.
