  3. In April 2012, snowboarder Aline Bock and freeskier Caja Schöpf went on a 10 days boat trip to the Lyngen Alps in north Norway, to escape the crowded skiresorts and to find some untouched powder. Enjoy the clip and see what they have been up to!

Aline: " I think I can say that my last trip to northern Norway was once in a lifetime. What made the trip extraordinary and unique were the remote splitboard tours and the long hikes from our swimming hotel up to the top of high mountains, which had the most amazing view to the sea I have ever seen. The lines down to the ocean made me speechless, and the hike over the sandy beaches back “home” gave me the shivers.

    Caja:
"For 6 days in a row, we skinned up 1200 -1400 meters to have the most beautiful freeride runs down to the ocean. I can’t describe how incredible fascinating this was… several times we were speechless of the beauty and impressing nature. It was a very unique journey, I’ll never forget."

  4. "During the winter of 2011, my brother Neil and I were presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity. We were to spend two months embedded in the heart of the Kootenays at the legendary Retallack Lodge. The mission was to shred pow with our good friend Tanner, who was on his comeback, and to help film Retallack:The Movie for Inspired Media Concepts. I took the role of the dedicated time lapse junkie, while Neil was a true on slope camera master. This video is a showcase of our skills behind the camera, as well as a few of our favorite long lens shots from Retallack:The Movie. Time lapses make way for deep powder mining, and a trip into the heart of the "silvery slocan" to see how silver miners conquered the mountains a century ago. Mining for powder in the Selkirk mountains is serious business, and we found out just how serious it can get. We hope you enjoy our short film, and perhaps absorb just a sliver of the energy that is Retallack Lodge in beautiful British Columbia." ian provo

Located in the heart of the Patagonian pampas, in Argentina's Chubut province, Piedra Parada's monolith rises up from the surrounding desert. Lying just to the north, the majestic La Buitrera Canyon was home to the Petzl RocTrip in November 2012. For more than a week, climbers from all over the world came together to share a common passion: climbing. Thanks to the hard work of a team of Argentinean and international route developers, La Buitrera Canyon, 5 km long with towering cliffs up to 200m high, is now one of Argentina's major climbing spots. For the tenth edition of the Petzl RocTrip, more than 1500 people climbed in the wind, dust, heat, and cold, for an unforgettable Patagonian experience!

More pictures, stories, wallpapers and guidebook excerpts are available on the Petzl website (petzl.com/en/outdoor/news/in-field/2013/07/29/video-petzl-roctrip-argentina-2012-official-movie)
