20 Years On

The goal of 20 Years On is to learn from the people living in South Africa’s townships and informal settlements in six locations around the country, each location in proximity to a journalism, film or communication program. A small group of students would spend two weeks gathering and editing content under the direction of local faculty and a visiting faculty member from the University of Miami. All of the content would contribute to a multimedia web site and a number of broadcast modules that would launch in 2014 as we approach the 20th anniversary of the end of Apartheid.
