These WIPING CERAMIC TILES song excerpts were recorded in London with countertenor James BOWMAN and composer/writer Ari FRANKEL at the piano. The music is key here, more than the sample images, and this piano&voice cycle is now being reComposed for brilliant countertenor Andreas SCHOLL and string quintet.
Andreas will be one of the proposed VANISH's lead voices, as Bacon's muse. These excerpts hint at his deep artistry and tone - taking after Bowman - and the composer's sensitive writing, accompaniment, etc.
"The Day" is followed by "The Jew, Etc.", inspired by writer I.S. TURGENEV and painter R.B. KITAJ. The images in this demonstration include the Frankel score, Kitaj in his studio, a Turgenev bookmark and Kitaj's "The Jew, Etc." charcoal painting.
