1. #2 - Bulletin Format filled with Hope Verses is just what it sounds like, a church bulletin in which you insert verses you can share according to the needs other people have for Scriptural encouragement. These are the type of Bible verses you should be giving out on the Prayer Line or during counseling. Your format might be in the form of a tent card/note you could leave at a hospital visitation or a handout for a recovery ministry. Minimum number of verses is 10 and not all from the same book. This must be typed & in some type of format other than an 8½” x 11” sheet of paper with no fold.

  2. #2 - In Two Graphic Concepts please try to flesh out two unique and different church graphic concepts that will allow you to carry a thematic design all the way through a full package or suite of communications in assignments 3 through 15! Please think about & address in detail all of the following: shapes, colors, paper types, printing orientations, folding style, logos, use of graphics/pictures, and type styles!!! This is not a bulletin so much as it is a collection of ideas, some in writing but most with an example or sample. You might turn in this assignment inside a manila envelope as it should have some volume! Remember that this “tool box” will be used in the rest of this semester’s work. The concepts you develop will need to be flexible enough to allow both color and black/white reproduction, be scalable (flexible in the “zoom” or “shrink” mode) so they could be used in anything from a small yellow page ad all the way to a highway billboard. Perhaps the best example of what I am after is the Harvest site on the web. Greg’s graphics fit on everything from a T-shirt to a stadium big screen. Get out of the box here and look around. Rock Harbor in Costa Mesa is always cutting edge as are Mariner’s Church in Irvine and Saddleback Community in Lake Forest.

  3. #6 - One on One Witnessing means having something to say when you get the attention and time of a person who is willing to listen to your witness. “The Roman Road” is an example of a one on one witness. You could write this as a short play or even use graphics such as the “bridge diagram”. This is not your testimony but a concise presentation that all Christians should be able to deliver on a moments notice! Please include Scripture references with text. Have I mentioned that these, as all of your assignments in this class, are to be in a bulletin or other stylized format?
