Born in Copenhagen, Adam Bonke is a self taught film maker. After leaving school, he lived in London and Paris, where he worked in two different post production houses. One specializing in commercials, the other in feature films. And so a young director was born.

Adam Bonke won the YDA Cannes 2010 and True Award (the Danish "Gullblyanten" in the film category) with his third commercial "Interruption" for Doctors Without Borders, in addition to Eurobest and other local awards. His online work “The Night Bus" and interactive piece outlining what we really look like when we have partaken too much alcohol, has passed 6million views, and his online work for Nike continues to grow an audience.

In 2010 Bonke had his major breakthrough as a director, winning that year's Young Director Award in Cannes.
He has since then received numerous nominations and won several international awards , been featured several times in the British "Shots Magazine" and directed film in 12 different countries.

Bonke currently resides in New York with increased focus on longer formats - short films and music promos. He has family in Ireland and visits on a regular basis to catch up with nieces and nephews.
