On Nelson Mandela's birthday, photographer Scott McDermott captured famous faces – e.g. Clint Eastwood, Robert DeNiro, Forest Whitaker and Morgan Freeman - raising hands to pledge to improve their planet. In Kelly's film, writer Elliot Kotek ponders the real-life and character experiences behind these simple digits - war, peace, violence, freedom, fame, disease - each represented in the lines made, in the hands we raise.
A simple gesture. At the right moment. Can change the world.

I took this speech and then converted into a motion typography using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop for some of the illustrative elements.

Working alongside Found, I got to direct and animate a piece for ONE.org and the #agit8 projection on the South Bank ahead of G8. I got to work with the amazing Chiwetel Egiofor who delivered the speech. The piece was projected onto the tower of the TATE Modern for live performances.
