    run from luv [2005]
    [ 001:09] Josephine Lipuma :: all rights reserved 2005

    "run from luv" is an extreme short dealing with journeys of love, it never ends, it is always present. The main character, the ghost bride (Alison Riess) rocks her baby as her story loops endlessly. She runs from love, rocks from love, only to unearth it again. The looping of the piece is the vortex. The place is always, the same, she is forever wrapped karma. Her redemption is finding her own self-love. Water falls on her like soft tears. The soft tears are her own.

    The filmmaker, Josephine Lipuma confronts the search for love in all of us. Through image processing/colorization/visual effects & unyielding editing of original footage married with public domain footage, she reconfigures the heart. She guides her viewers from pretty into their own internal voice: “Do you run from love or does it run after you or do you run after it?”

    This extreme short is part of the (on-going) collaborative project, The Perceptual Motion Machine It continues to be exhibited nationally & internationally as part of the interactive installation.
