It's important to remember that people interested in buying your home are envisioning themselves living in this space. If it's winter, and they walk into a cold house, how homey does that seem? Not very, at all.
It has recently snowed in the area, and these owners with their listing agent remember to clear the walkways, as to avoid any slipping accidents, or trouble getting inside. When I entered the property, I walked into a warm and cozy kitchen. The sellers and their agent did a great job giving imagination to what an occupied home would be like at this property. What do you think?
Are you thinking about moving, and unsure where to start? Sometimes the overwhelming amount of things to do when selling your home is just too much to think abut - especially around the holidays.
I recently previewed a home, and was very impressed by the staging these sellers and their listing agent decided upon. The house was vacant, and the staging was simple. It's important to remember that less really is more when selling your home. Remember that you are selling the space, and the idea of someone/some family living there. They are not interested in your clutter, and may not live like you. So, choose a neutral theme, and make it simple. When in doubt, watch HGTV!
