A glimpse into The Eyes of the Sun: this is a flashback scene to the time when Rani is wandering the world, finding herself, losing herself, being, becoming, immersing, surfacing, transforming. She studies yoga in ashrams in India and Bali, discovers a pure tantra in Kathmandu, has her mind blown with the understanding of the divine Goddess and boddhisattva within her, blocks out this knowledge with full moon dance parties in Cambodia and Berlin, accepts it more when she discovers Burning Man culture far away from the Nevada desert, especially at the unique burn in New Zealand where she finally groks the idea of gifting, and acceptance, when given a pounamu greenstone by her New Zealand friend Daniel. At the same time she accepts the gift of herself, her existence, her silver skydancing spirit. All this she tells to Gavin, in the present moment when they meet up again after two years of no contact and Gavin having no idea where she was (well, except for the drunk on absinthe phone call from a Paris burlesque club early on). She tells her tale in the present moment of meeting again but really never having parted, her voice over the flashback to this scene and imagery of fire. This scene is longer and a more "narrative" style than what will find itself in the completed film, but the feel of it, the authenticity inspires me. With Emerald Dove as Rani, and Dave Aitken as Daniel. The music is temporary but has that Jesus and Mary Chain thing going that feels just right.
From our eyes birth stars, or maybe it's the other way around, and we are starlight, the souls of stars. We should be stellar all the time, stars are what we become, whole universes if we care to try. A billion tiny tongues of flame flickering in the infinite.
Here's a film genesis from the collective unconscious, a fire mythago. Imagery was collected through extreme slow motion fire dance with a phantom camera. The silver dancing of my friend Emerald Dove and the cinematography talents of my friend David Wright helped create this gift. Thank you.
The fashion-short movie depicts a young girl's journey to the realms of her deepest imagination. In the first act we experience her feelings of loneliness. She is longing for love, light, the unknown, a world yet to be discovered behind the web that entangles the tender bird of her existence - her desire for freedom is symbolized by the delicate beauty of wings and feathers.
When she receives a letter, her day-dreaming is ignited by the anticipation of his love in the form of elements and motions representing thoughts, images of freedom, flying, love, colors, energy, strength - intensifying and finally exploding. This image slowly fades back to a dull surreal scene where she finally awakes.

Nature’s Dreams is the story of Nate Hogen’s transformative journey toward becoming the installation artist Nature Dreamweaver.
Upon receiving the name in 2003 during a powerful 10-day meditation, Hogen began a rigorous shamanic journey of self-discovery, awakening, healing, and personal artistic evolution.
In 2006, he received a vision to facilitate sacred space, and set a clear course forward as an artist. Now consistently in demand, his work has propelled him all over the world to build natural art installation sanctuaries that facilitate the perception of a dream reality, manifesting heaven on earth and bringing communities together.
