PORTLAND- Test drive a great new car, help out a local school.
On Sunday, April 27, for everyone that test drives a new Ford vehicle, Monaco Ford and the Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to Portland High School.
The event, which is part of Ford's Drive 4 UR School initiative, will take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Brownstone Intermediate School, located at 314 Main St. in Portland.
Drivers don't have to be from Portland, but must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. No purchase is necessary.
The more people who drive, the more money that will be earned for the school.
"We will donate up to $6,000 to the school, so we hope everyone comes out and test drives one of our awesome vehicles," said Chrissy Monaco. "We strongly believe in giving back to our local community, and we're so glad we can be part of this awesome program."

For generations, our family at Monaco Ford has been a military family. While many of you know us from buying new or used cars with us over the years or servicing your cars with us - there's a whole other side to our family.
We understand the sacrifices that the men and women serving in the military make...because we've witnessed them first hand. We know the heartache that's felt by military families. And we know the pride that comes with knowing that your loved ones are protecting this country each and every night.
Thank you to the men and women who serve and protect...and their families. God bless you all on this Memorial Day and every day.
Memorial Day is one of the biggest "sales" days of the year for car dealerships. So why is Monaco Ford of Glastonbury closed?
Mike Monaco - a member of our armed forces - brings the crew from Monaco along with the vehicles to the Memorial Day Parade in Glastonbury. In the vehicles...are the men and women who served our country. They may not be able to walk the entire route, but with the help of Monaco Ford...they can still be a part of the parade.
Remember...it's not National BBQ Day. Let us today today to remember - all gave some...and some gave all.
