  4. Pierre Augé, winner of the 5th edition of the French Top Chef TV programme, was the guest Chef at the boutique beach resort of Angsana Balaclava Mauritius from 25th October to 1st November 2015.

    Local food lovers and resort guests seeking a deliciously-different taste-bud adventure were delighted to find that a ‘Top Chef’ style Gala Dinner was on its way to Mauritius. The event was a tantalizing experience as the resort’s own Chef Suardi and Chef Pierre Augé worked side by side to create a fusion of flavours, showcasing culinary traditions from across the globe. The two Chefs joined forces to create inspirational East-meets-West cuisine.

    The special Gala Dinner was acccompanied by an exclusive selection of wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. Found in Béziers, at the heart of Languedoc, wine from the Mas La Chevalière winery reveal a true expression of wines from southern France. Thanks to its prime location, the winery has produced and celebrated fantastic collections of wines.
    Local residents and resort guests joined the exclusive food and wine events ranging from fine dining to beach dinner offerings, as the two chefs cooked up a storm during the flavor-packed week at Angsana Balaclava Mauritius.

    Le chef Pierre Augé, finaliste de la première édition de Top chef 2010 et gagnant de l’édition 2014 a été Invité par Angsana Balaclava Mauritius. Le chef français a travaillé de concert avec le Chef Suardi pour proposer un menu inspiré et créatif, sublimant les ingrédients du terroir local aux caprices de la créativité artistique.

    Les festivités ont démarré le mercredi 28 octobre, mettant le sud de la France à l’honneur, avec un ‘Fine Dining event’. En première partie, Olivier Grataloup a présenté sa sélection de vins ‘Mas La Chevalière’ de Béziers. Le Chef Pierre Augé a ensuite exprimé son identité culinaire à travers un menu gastronomique innovant, original et créatif. Travaillant beaucoup à l’instinct, c’est sur la fougue du moment que le chef élabore son menu, suivant les trouvailles du jour. Ces deux porte-parole du pays d’Oc ont ainsi fait voyager les papilles gustatives des convives. La soirée s’est tenue dans les espaces ‘lounge dinner’ privatifs d’Angsana Balaclava Mauritius boutique beach resort.
