Finally managed to put the film online for friends to watch and enjoy.
My debut film, “Black N White” is a short suspense thriller, which is inspired by Frederick Knott’s play, ‘Wait Until Dark’. This short film is centered on two characters, a blind woman and a burglar. The burglar breaks into the blind woman’s apartment while she is away. Much to his disappointment he finds the apartment barely furnished with hardly any valuables. However, he continues to search through the apartment until he is interrupted by the arrival of the blind woman. What happens next… is a confrontation of ‘Black N White’
The title, “Black 'N' White” depicts contrasting characters and their dilemmas. There could be various interpretations of the title based on the juxtaposition of complex situations throughout the film.
The film was a directorial challenge in itself due to limited time, low budget and a small crew comprising of the director i.e. me and my two actors. I challenged myself further by creating constraints of shooting the film in the periphery of a single apartment with practically no dialogues.

As adults we overlook the fundamentals of humanism and readily generalize a community or religion for misdoings of few ill hearted people of that origin. This concept is naturally and innocently shunned by the children, irrespective of their origins and geographic location. All that matters to the children is happiness and joy of living the moment. If grown-ups can understand and accept their shortcomings then mankind will truly be ONE KIND and everyone on this planet earth can live in peace and harmony.

When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going!! That is the remarkable spirit of those who are conquerers and keep a heart of a lion. Every person in every aspect of life stumble across difficulties. Some people find escape route while some are submissive, but few face them head-on and rise and shine above.
A seemingly innocuous overnight camping trip in South Jersey becomes an initiation into an unbroken chain of psychological dependence for a young girl named Vivian in my Film. I have tried to show the true fighting spirit in this young girl and how she overcomes her fears to become part of a tough group.

The film was done as part of 100 hr filmracing competition in NYC. We were given a theme called "Renew" (around which the story has to revolve), an action "checking the time'" and a prop "ice" to include in the film in some way. Me and my friend, Praveen Durairaj, co-directed the film.
The story is about a gay couple and their african american adopted 8 yrs old girl child. The child confronts them about adoption and biological mom's existence. She undergoes a dilemma which resolves when she comes to terms of accepting her two dads as her parents. The relationship renewal evolves through the short script.
