Children Arise provides nutritious lunches for about 58 children in the little Uganda village of Bukanaga. Arise was on site in December 2013 for discussions with Cissy Mukisa (a local Pastor and school principle). While there, the children welcomed the team in song.
Wotakujong is a small rural village of perhaps 1200 people in South Sudan. Located near the Uganda border, this location is 75 miles from the capital city Juba, 5 bumpy hours and inaccessible by road at times of the year due to rains.
This is a small amount of raw footage from a small slum in Kampala Uganda in 2010. The name of this slum is Kosovo, named after the war in Kosovo.
The ditches run throughout the slum carrying water mixed with garbage and sewage. The little boy I try to give a sticker to had just scooped a drink from the ditch that he and his sister or friend were standing beside.
