1. The wreck of the Norwegian ship Songvaar, Port Victoria, South Australia. It sank in 1912, in fact the same day as the commencement of the sinking of the Titanic, Whilst Anchored of Wardang Island. the Captain was ashore, attending to paperwork before sailing. The ship was fully loaded with 40,700 bags of Wheat when a storm approached. The officer on duty ordered the second anchor out, however, it was not later retrieved. As the waters are shallow in the area, and whilst the tide was going out, the Songvaar set on top of the second anchor, which subsequently pierced the hull which caused it to sink. The Wreck remained as was, breaking up, but was later blown up due to shipping hazard.

    Some furniture from the cabins were saved and were auctioned off. Cabin chairs 4 of can still be found in private collection on Yorke Peninsula.
