  2. I first discovered Igor Amokian while scanning Los Angeles Craigslist for musical gear.
I found an interesting listing for a Circuit Bent drum machine. Needless to say, his ads were very honest, generously priced, and strikingly friendly.
He wrapped up his ads with his name (Igor Amokian). An Armenian circuit bender?
Nutty. There was no bullshit approach to the ad… Something about him seriously grabbed me.
Years later, I gathered the courage to reconnect with documentary video.
Quickly - I began my quest for subject matter. In the process, I was gathering some of my circuit bent instruments to record a soundtrack and I immediately thought of Igor. I hit the web and immediately found videos and information on Igor.
I contacted Timelapse Recordings and finally made contact.

After a few emails & phone conversations, I was invited over to Igor’s (Chris Wild’s) crib.
I was warmly received by Chris and shooting began immediately.

This video was captured on the Canon 5d Mk2 with Leica R, Contax, and Zeiss Prime and Zoom Lenses. Sound was captured via Rode Videomic Pro.
