This animatic is for my final project in the Digital art department at Pratt Institute.
It's a work in progress. The project is due April 2010.
The video is about how art has the power to remind people how to enjoy life. Often in our capitalistic society it is easy to forget that life is gift. Art opens your mind and makes you experience life to its fullest form.
The references to art in the video is through electronic music and graffiti
I am currently looking for a well known electronic music artist to write the music for the video. Once finished the video should be in between 2:30min to 3 min. It will be rendered in 2D and 3D. It will have a lot of 3D camera movement, plus a lot of transitions to create rhythm and speed as well as being heavily treated in post production.
I would like to include the electronic music artist in parts of the animation as well. My goal for this project is to have a professional finished output for music video streaming on television and internet.
A free fully animated video for the musician and the thesis project of my dreams for me. I can wait to start animating.
All work done in Softimage (Autodesk) XSI. I've been a freelancer now in NYC for about 7 years, prior to that I worked at several staff positions since 1995 after graduating from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY.
Shot on HD camera I rented from Pratt Institute.
Processed on Adobe After Effects.
This was a great experience for me coming up with a concept, shooting raw footage and converting it into a final piece.
