Wake Me is a combined platform/maze game project developed for the Interactive Programming II module which integrates work from the Illustration for Animation I module. This is only a short section from what is one of the most challenging and complex level maps designed for the game projects this year. It was completed by Ambra Ghittori (Creative Multimedia), Daniel Gonzalez Lopez (Digital Animation Production) and Daphne van Rijswijk (Creative Multimedia).
Within the Interactive Programming II module on the Creative Multimedia and Digital Animation Production degrees, students are required to create an interactive game with collision detection and animated timelines. This example of one such platformer was created by Vincent Bourke of Digital Animation Production and Richard Sheehan Corkery and Edd Tobin Smith of Creative Multimedia.
The next platformer in our series is titled "Griphon" and was completed by Sarah Long (Creative Multimedia), Franciele Rosario (Digital Animation Production) and Veronica Ryan (Creative Multimedia). The illustration and animation aspects of the game were completed by Franciele in the Illustration for Animation I module. These elements were programmed in the Interactive Programming II module.
