Part One of my journey into Houdini:
Coming from "normal" 3d editing applications - people often claim Houdini to be impossible to understand, user-unfriendly and overall mind-breaking. By comparing its interface to that of another 3d application I am trying to point out that this is not necessarily true, although one may have to apply a slightly different approach to understand how 3d data is being managed "behind the scenes".
In this first video I am not behind-the-scening that much but merely walk through some standard viewport navigation, selecting and editing geometry and one tiny bit of terminology.
