Why do you listen to music? If you are like thousands of other Canadians, your answer may lie in music's perceived ability to regulate your mood - to cheer you up or to calm you down. But is it possible that waves traveling through the air actually hold this awesome power, the power to influence how you are feeling?
One group of researchers in Toronto is trying to find out.
The SMART Lab is an interdisciplinary research team based out of Ryerson University that are concerned with questions at the intersection of mind, music and technology. In this study, researchers conduct a study to answer that most fundamental question: is music truly effective in regulating our mood and if so, what types of music are most effective in regulating how we feel?

Commissioned by Ninja Tunes for Lee Bannon - Perfect Dvision music promo. We came up with the idea of using simple geometrical shapes to run with the beat. Each graphic appears to each sound. As the track is rather fast pace the graphic elements appear to jump up at the same speed as the track. There are wave length spectrum which runs at the background from the beginning till the end. Red crystal shape like that mutates itself. Red and blue laser triangles. Blue retina shape and dust. And a giant globe which appears as subliminal image at the middle of the video too. The label approved and the artist was happy with it. But the artist management team decided to pull out the promo on the premiere day reasoned that the visual artistic does not fit with artist image. Well, never mind. We can view it here :)
Listening to music was an mysterious journey inside my head. The sound wave created a free flow, transforming to any style up to the imagination. Then the wave entered a space, rushing against the wall which limited its activity. Finally the wave blew up and found the upmost freedom.
