Generally, for every second of film in a reel you can easily say there are dozens of minutes, possibly hours that are not included.
**For example, I worked in kids television for about five years, so think about this... Approximately 60seconds per week(our average quota)comes out to about an hour of animation per year. So in 5 years that's roughly 5 hours I alone animated. Enough footage for three features!
I point this out as I'm often asked for tips or advice from students and I always say that there is absolutely no substitute for practice. So start pushin' those puppets!
