The Fulton Mall, deemed ground breaking and innovative in the 1960's as a pedestrian mall, is now threatened by Fresno City Hall and its supporters in an effort to return Fulton Street to automobile traffic. Recognized as a masterpiece of 20th century landscape architecture, there are many who have opposed city hall's decision and have created organizations to stop the destruction of this mall.
