On a mysterious wilderness lake, inhabited by swans, a woman shapes a film. As impressionistic footage of the water, painted illustrations, swan myths, and filming notes interweave, the escapades of the swans take on the aura of a fairy tale and the film, as document of reality, becomes suspect.
Original format: 16mm, in color and black and white, with sound, running time: approximately 52 minutes. The film includes both on location footage and watercolor illustrations.
