For this project, we were asked to create something with the theme of "intimacy." Intimate relationships are based on the trust that is established through revealing personal experiences. We created a familiar scene of a couple under a blanket on a couch, the way people may share stories after a movie. By 3D scanning and printing the scene, we were able to use projection mapping to change the environment, taking the characters to the locations as they share their life experiences.
In order to add a level of intimacy between the artists and audience, all elements in the piece are inspired by locations from our lives. The interior design of the room is inspired by fashion from each area, and each area is a place from our experiences. This includes Mike Alger from Las Vegas and Utah, Ana Mickovic from Serbia, and Jenil Buria from India. We each kept an individual log for our research and development process during this project:

The First Installment of "Visual Sounds of the Amazon"
Last year I took my artwork to the next level by travelling to the Amazon rain forest to collect the sights and sounds of one of the worlds most amazing jungles, with the hope of spreading awareness about its plight.
The first installment will be screening at "Render" festival Lima Peru. Visit the website for more details: espacio.fundaciontelefonica.com.pe/
Sounds recorded by Andy Thomas and Reynier Omena Junior in and around Presidente Figueiredo - State of Amazonas Brazil in 2016.
Many thanks to Ricardo Queiroz and Reynier Omena Junior for support and logistics.
I see sounds as moving shapes and colours in my imagination. Bringing these to life is the challenging part. There are many countless hours drawing sketches and testing particle effects. Some of the results are more refined and closely match my imagination than others.
Hyper-Reality presents a provocative and kaleidoscopic new vision of the future, where physical and virtual realities have merged, and the city is saturated in media.
