Split Video Dance is an experimental work of video creation about the body. It is a cyborg. A dream, a vision of the future borne of the necessity of intimacy to discuss a common system of relationships which transform the social body into something unknown; showcasing the metamorphosis of the physical through technology as a possible aesthetic paradigm towards diversity. It is one among millions of answers to the problems of audiovisual representation of gender on the web.
Split Video Dance discusses a real and contemporary body which transforms into an ideal in which the physical is dissolved. The definition of video dance becomes as flexible as its capacity to transmit emotions. Split Video Dance chooses to be a video dance, because conceptually, it wants to emphasise its movements as a fundamental part of its development.
Through the use of digital collage, the various parts become a whole, revealing fusion through itself, invading the physicality of its own body. This body is then transformed to the point of being substituted by a patchwork of disorderly and unrecognisable organs which evince a transformation from within, from the subject itself, far beyond its physiognomy.

What if we could escape our daily routine for a moment ? A Step, just one, that could move us miles away from here, in a second; a flash step. A Shunpo.
