With a brief of “making gliding cool” we traveled to East Germany to interview Klaus Ohlman. Klaus Ohlmann holds numerous world records for gliding including a 2,463 km continuos flight of over 14 hours in the Andes. As a passionate glider owner and expert mountain pilot he seemed to us to be the perfect person to ask “what makes gliding so appealing?”
Klaus is using a Stemme S10 motor glider for his current mountain research project in the Hymalayas. Stemme manufacturer some highly innovative touring motor gliders. We wanted to change some private pilots current perception of the world
These shots were filmed in close formation with the Vectorvision camera system installed in the highly modified Wolfe Air LearJet 25. Cameras used are the Red Epic and Arriflex Alexa.
