South Sudan, five years after the war. What about the current developments in the country? We meet Holger Pohler, a German entrepeneur who invests a lot in the country. A pure blessing for the people or just an ordinary gold digger? Watch the video and judge for yourself.
A new generation in Southern Sudan is ready to bring change. Young people who grew up during the war, who even were child soldiers, but got the chance to study abroad or at home after war. They bring a message of positivity, a message of hope. A generation that is tired of guns, terror and hell. A generation that is determined to change for the better. Lam Tungwar is one of them. Through music he expresses his concerns and through his words he motivates thousands of people worldwide to work on a brighter future. Lam is supported by the Southern Sudan Artist Association (SSAA). The SSAA is supported by Cordaid.
Sustainable energy supply might be a solution for the growing demand for electricity in Africa. It can also be a tool for development. In combination with new technologies like LED, people don't longer have to light their homes with oil, wax candles, kerosene or fire(wood). We brought a solar LED light to Juba, Sudan and asked a nice family to use it and let us know what they thought of it.
