The Quaife reversing gearbox has a flange that they call a "Ford English Type" flange. It has four holes that are not symmetric, which I now believe is due to the fact that you can overlay a 6 hole CV joint patter over the top of this pattern. This is a time lapse video of me making the adapter.
With a shorter registry distance of 43.5mm for the Minolta system vs. the 44mm for Canon EOS it's often the case in Minolta MD/MC mount lens conversions that infinity focus results in rear-element obstruction to mirror operation on the full-frame bodies such as the 5D or 5DMK2.
