This video shows behind the scenes of THREE of the worse lighting situations and how to conquer them as they were shot for the book "Shooting in Shitty LIght" by Lindsay Adler and Erik Valind. While this video is simply footage shot during the creation of the book, you can watch it all on @creativeLIVE or find the book at amazon.com.
My goals for this photo were to remove blemishes, improve contrast, and give a porcelain skin look.
The lighting consisted of a 3x4ft softbox directly behind the model, a beauty dish in the front, and a silver reflector beneath her chin. The softbox behind her gave the soft wrapping light around her cheekbones and clavicles as but also decreased the contrast in the photo.
