When the IVCA approached us to create the opening titles for the IVCA Awards 2012, we jumped at the chance.
We saw this as an opportunity to break away from conventional award openers. Inspired by the new and refreshed IVCA award categories, the concept was to connect analogue crafts associated with traditional film and video and present them visually in a more modern and digital way.
This was done using a blend of 2D and 3D animation with real life objects (which were shot in a studio) composited into frame. The final touch was to use simple typography that introduced each award category within the scene.
Stop motion title sequence for Dutch science show "Het Klokhuis" (The Apple Core). It is Hollands oldest youth television show, covering everything from the history of dinosaurs to how an iPhone is made.
This was commissioned by advertising agency Kesselskramer, produced at Nexus Productions, and was made in collaboration with model maker / sculptor Jethro Haynes. The apples and core models were built using 3D printing technology in order to maintain the logo shape.

Breeder was invited back to create the opening titles for Analogue/Digital, so once again, we threw ourselves into the project and didn't hold back. This year, we developed an ambitious aesthetic based upon the idea of double exposure, inspired by Alabaster's amazing track and the conference's program design. We worked around the theme of binary, juxtaposing the urban sprawl and nature, black and white, flight and fall, and unification and disintegration. It was a labour of love and we couldn't be prouder with the end result.

We had the great privilege of working with Analogue/Digital Creative Conferences to design opening titles and video for their 2012 conference on the Gold Coast. Held annually on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, the conferences are a guiding light for next-generation creative types, and feature world class presenters from the most sought after companies, galleries and establishments. Working from an open brief, we created a piece which we think gets at the core of what A/D aims to achieve; to inspire and encourage people to break free of the mold, and do whatever they feel it takes to make a difference.
Offf Festival has been a multicultural design conference event for years. From the beginning, I wanted to explore a different approach. Titles was executed with diverse ranges of techniques to underline sub-context, gathering different imagination, disciplines, mediums and artists.
Used techniques vary from computer graphics to live action, macro photography to photocopy art. One single concept unifies the variation. It is the simplicity. In contrast with the strong imagery typography plays a subtle role, placed in the centre with only two weight variations of a geometric typeface.
