SURF & SKATE FESTIVAL MUNICH 2014 PRESENTED BY JEVER FUN // 15 - 25. MAY
Surf & Skate Festival season 2014 has officially started.
It’s getting serious! It’s getting hot but first and foremost it’s getting Bavarian.
11 days, more than 20 attractions across the Skate & Surf culture.
From the 15th until the 25th of May the Bavarian flag will be characterized by offshore and offers the surf-scene an interactive program, that brings back the tingle of the previous years.
Friday at 8pm the Surf & Skate Vernissage at the Galerie “art:ig” will be opening the night. Alongside the Vernissage there will be the release party for the second festival issue of the “BYND THE SURFACE” magazine, which is back with broad articles and vacant photographs.
Saturday the 17th of may the program will kick off at noon at the gallery and combines art with the most-talked about international surfbrands like DEUS Ex Machina (AUS), Pleasant (DK), Seventyone Percent (FR) and LGSc (GER) on 100sqm.
“Team Rhythmusgymnastik” will start the legendary “O’Neill Party presented by Planet Sports” right before midnight at the “STROM”.
After relaxing professional yoga classes in the morning, the afternoon gets loud for “Krach am Bach” and the next day an acoustic foretaste of Robert Francis at the finissage at the “art:ig” gallery will finish the evening.
You’ll get time to relax on Thursday the 22nd at the German premiere of Sally Fitzgibbons’ documentary
“Behind the Smile” as well as the premiere of “Beyond the Surface”, at 9pm at the “RIO-FILMPALAST”.
Behind the music is the band duo from “Kids of Adelaide & Ricky Dean Howard” again at the “STROM” starting at 8pm.
The final day of the Skate & Surf Festival Munich is fully dedicated to skateboarding. The Iriedaily skate contest will heat up the crowd at the Feierwerk, alongside a flea market will open outside. At 9pm the premiere of „Salt Trail“ along with the longboard premiere“Endless Roads“ form the open-air culmination at the “Olympia Lake”.

Its a wrap - the Surffilmfestival Germany Tour 2013/2014 is finally over
The biggest Surffilmfestival in Germany took place for the first time in 2014 in Munich!
This interesting and cultural city has the biggest riversurfing community in the world and everyday people are surfing in this cool city close to the Alps
Over 12 movies, several hours of running time, loads of Jever & Büble and the directors of the highly recommendable movie "The old the young and the sea" made the festival to an unique gathering of very interesting people and conversations. We also had the german premier of "Rainbeau" and "Hangs upon nothing".
A great O'Neill Party, loads of Photography, Shortmovies and our Pop Up Store and Cafe made the Festival in Munich to a great final of the Surffilmfestivaltour Germany 13/14. Stay tuned for this winter...
The biggest Surffilmfestival in Germany took place for the third time in 2013 in Cologne.
This interesting and cultural city has a big surfing scene cause its proximity to some nordic waves in holland and for some reason the first german surfclub was founded in cologne with the highest number of members.
Thats the reason why we chose Cologne for the Surffilmfestival.
Over 15 movies, several hours of running time, loads of Kölschbeer and the directors of the highly recommendable movie "The old the young and the sea" made the festival to an unique gathering of very interesting people and conversations.
But its not over yet, after being in our hometown Hamburg, now Cologne, we will go to Munich in the end of January and present the best of surf movies, surf culture and surf party there is to offer!
