Located in Olympia Washington the Wendell Berry Community Garden approaches community gardening in a collaborative way.
There are many benefits to growing your own food, one major benefit is the ability to produce healthy foods. Home grown foods are much more nutrient rich and are less likely to be introduced to unwanted chemicals.
This collaborative effort is managed by TJ Johnson from Sustainable South Sound and has become a resource for communities around the state.
A Conversation with Wendell Berry was taped by AVN at the Arlington Virginia Central Library on May 4 2010. The author was interviewed by Library Director Diane Kresh as part of Arlington Reads. Mr. Berry reads an excerpt from The Memory of Old Jack.
