A corporate imagery tool for Actelion Pharmaceuticals
For the rebranding of Actelion, a biopharmaceutical company, we developed a tool for automatic image generation that enables the generation of a unique, in-itself homogeneous graphic image world out of heterogeneous visual material.
“Create a new identity for our brand Actelion. Don’t touch the logo, but create something the world of pharma has not seen before.” Based on the idea “From medical industry to medical magic,” a new image was developed that rendered medicine’s invisible magical moment visible. Here, the new imagery is based on the smallest possible unit: digital molecules. These capture the magical moment when new medicine arises from molecules; innovative design for a company that supplies the world with innovations. We worked closely together with Interbrand in creating the graphic imagery and developed a software, that enables the targeted creation of graphic images based on photographs, whose visual information contained in the tool is translated into graphic elements such as points, lines and curves using special algorithms.
Fusion Animation produces medical animation mode of action videos for the Pharma and Healthcare industries. MOAs effectively communicate the complex interaction through which a drug produces its pharmacological effect. Our animations can lead to greater awareness and adoption of our clients' products.
aDiatomea is an artificial life system that uses various methods and notions of a-life research. The basic principle of aDiatomea is that every aspect of it is entirely mathematically generated and thus it is not created purposefully as an art piece but as a complex system that takes a life of its own. These artificial organisms are based on actual unicellular organisms known as Diatoms. These beautiful microscopic creatures are constructed using the superformula, an equation that can reproduce organic forms. Granular sound is injected in these organisms, acting as their life-force, while they interact with each other and their environment. This film shows a recording of 36 seconds of evolution, pushing the boundaries of complex computer calculations.
