  3. This week's featured pets are furry homeless felines. There is a litter of kittens recently returned from foster care homes and a couple of Long-timer cats named Kai and Monkey who have been at the shelter for far too long.

Whether you would choose a playful little kitten, or a more mature, sophisticated adult cat, please consider adopting from the Shelter instead of purchasing a forever pet. The long-timers are only $10 to adopt, because they need a home NOW. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, county license and a microchip.

Watch the video to find out about the July special, Help for the Homeless and see how you can adopt a homeless pet while helping a homeless person in need.

Kai, Monkey, lots of kittens, dog and cats who are Long-timers and many other homeless animals are currently at the shelter and they need new families right away! 4. On this edition of Pet of the Week, here's Sawyer…again. He and Tami are having a nice time reminiscing about the Luau Adoption Event which took place this past weekend, but really, Sawyer need a home and a family. He has completely healed after being hit by a car and brought to Animal Services. Sawyer has received hip surgery, been fostered by a loving family, and is now available for adoption. Sawyer is a wonderful dog who adores belly rubs and is very friendly. He loves attention and will make a terrific family pet! Sawyer is a Longtimer, which means he is only $10 to adopt. He is about 4 years old and we are convinced (although we can't guarantee) that he is housebroken.

We repeat, Sawyer needs a forever home, so come on down and visit Sawyer and see if she is the right fit for your family. If Sawyer is not the one for you, don't worry, there are plenty of other pets available including some additional Long-timers who have been guests for over two weeks and are also only $10 to adopt.

Watch the video to find out about the July special, Help for the Homeless and see how you can adopt a homeless pet while helping a homeless person in need.

In addition, please check our Facebook page and take a look at Sweetie, the adoptable pup who gets along with everyone and has learned many social skills, which make her extremely adoptable. Besides being all-around wonderful dogs, Sawyer, Sweetie and many other homeless animals are currently at the shelter and they need new families right away! Please keep in mind, however, that the animals' stay at the Shelter is EXTREMELY limited, and they may or may not be available when you arrive.
