1. This video is about the WWII Wiener-Neudorf air battle 26 July 1944 with the 15th Air Force, 301st Bomb Group. 11 out of 26 B-17's were shot down. The mission was recalled, but many planes didn't get the transmission over the radio. This is about 2 crews that went down together in a chilling mid-air collision. The survivor report is so horrible, it is not included in this short documentary.

    B-17F Pilot 2nd Lt. David Kerr was our cousin through my maternal grandmothers side of the family. His home was in San Antonio, but he was raised in Nashville. He was KIA along with his crew and 10 other planes.
