Watch as the Class of 2018 is clapped in by Keene State College's faculty and staff on August 21, 2014.

Clap-in is a Keene State tradition in which entering first-year students are applauded by staff and faculty in academic regalia as they proceed toward the opening convocation. The event effectively launches their undergraduate academic experience in a way that’s both formal and celebratory, and foreshadows another ceremony – graduation – that marks the closing of that experience.
