1. This is a quick video tutorial from Glacern Machine Tools on how to setup and operate the GDV Double CNC Vise. Glacern's GDV Double Vise comes in two sizes, a 6" version and a 4" version. The vise can be used to clamp two dissimilar or two similarly sized work pieces simultaneously. When used properly, this vise will allow you to rapidly clamp and remove the work pieces from both stations, which is ideal for production machining environments.

Each station in the Glacern GDV-620FE Double Station CNC Vise gives the machinist 4.9" of clamping capacity and provides up to 12.4" of clamping capacity in single station mode. For more smart-tips, contact one of our specialists or visit us at the Glacern Machine Tools website.

Glacern's FM45 square-insert facemills are ideal for general purpose rough and finish facing as they combine high positive geometry with a 45 degree lead angle for rapid material removal on machines of all sizes. FM90 rectangular-insert face mills utilize similar postiive geometry with a 90 degree lead for facing to a shoulder or within a pocket.

Chip-thinning from the 45-degree lead angle allows increased feedrates by 50% over 90-degree cutters. Size ANSI SE43 (ISO SE 1204) square inserts maintain chip thinning to a cutting depth of 0.250". The chamfers on the inserts provide a wiper effect to minimize surface roughness. These Glacern facemills can be used on smaller machines thanks to the low horsepower requirements. Inserts sold separately.
