John 15-21 - Brad Bell - After hearing the seven I Am statements of Christ, how did the disciples respond? Did they make disciples of all nations? Did they take the gospel to the remotest part of the earth? Not exactly. In fact, the disciples’ response to these statements is very similar to our response as we hear profound truths from the text and fail to do anything with them. The disciples give us a good reminder in the closing chapters of the Gospel of John that we need to have the appropriate response to what we have been exposed to and be diligent to put into practice the things that we hear.
