The sense of space folding or braiding itself, not necessarily in just three dimensions, intrigues me. We tend to think of space as something passive that we and other bodies pass through, but of course it can't simply be that: space necessarily has a topology. The idea of space as a relational form is counterintuitive but important, especially since even our own bodies mostly consist of empty space.
