Newsong treX Adventure Trips are cross-cultural adventures customized for individuals and groups interested in learning from local urban specialists living in missional contexts, from each other, and from the cultures they encounter. Not painting a wall, not building a house, but learning – so you can make an impact and be the
difference, in your own local context.
In the Nkhoma/Chilenje valley, 26,000 people have little or no food left from their own production with no chance for a harvest until May. A devastating dry spell has left dead crops and minimal harvests in this already malnourished region.
Many families are eating just one meal a day, or often less to survive. Hunger and fear have set in for many families; a very hard thing when looking into the eyes of Malawians we have come to know and love.
We are standing with an alliance of skilled and committed Malawian organizations to respond, led by 3 of our Y-Malawi frontline partners: Fishers Trainers Sender, Nkhoma Mission Hospital, and the Chief's Ministry. They are prepared with a full scale Hunger Emergency Plan so that monthly food distributions can begin immediately as funds come in.
Your gift today will keep children and families alive through this critical, emergency time. Thank you for your prayers and generosity to families who have lost so much, yet are still looking for hope. Let us rise up together and put our love and faith into extraordinary action!
