Together with Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences, AKR provides dolphin experiences for the public and it's guests. These activities bring to the general public awareness about marine species and environment conservation. As I am against the practice of touching the animals, I tried to edit out all the hugging and kissing of this video.

While traveling throughout Honduras, travelers will encounter a number of opportunities to interact with animals of the land, sea and sky. In this video, you'll get a closer look at horseback riding at Finca el Cisne near Copán Ruinas, snorkeling with dolphins at the Roatán Institute for Marine Sciences, up-close-and-personal experiences with macaws at Macaw Mountain Bird Park in Copán Ruinas, and interaction with white-faced capuchin monkeys at Gumbalimba Park in Roatán.

Visitors to Honduras can slow things down with visits to two spectacular botanical gardens. One is the Lancetilla Botanical Garden in Tela – the second largest tropical botanical garden in the world. Lancetilla was established in 1926 as an experimental site by Tela Railroad Company, and boasts a large variety of plants from the Central American region as well as from other tropical areas throughout the world. The second is nestled on the island of Roatán – Carambola Botanical Gardens. Owned by a former Peace Corps volunteer, this garden provides an educational experience for its visitors among 40 acres of lush landscape.
