Coco's First bath with Mommy | 01.24.2012
Splish Splash, I was taking a bath! At least that is what Coco was doing! Coco has had two baths in the past 3 months I have had her, but those were given to her by her lovely grandparents while I was away visiting the hubby in Canada. This time, it is my turn! Coco is such a small pup, and so it was quite easy to bathe her, although not so much one handed might I add while filming this. She was pretty good and cooperative as well.... for the most part. You can be the judge. =)
The time has inevitably come. Time to get Coco spayed. It is never a fun task, but it had to be done. Coco was a real champ and received 4 staples yesterday. Coming out of the anesthesia was pretty hard for her. She was very dreary, and loopy, but by the next day, she was regaining some of her spirit back. Having a cone around your head for 2 weeks is never fun. I dare you to try it. But here is little Coco, doing her best to make the most out of it. The first 20 seconds of the video were taken right when i picked her up from the clinic, and was driving her home, the rest was captured one day after her procedure. I noticed that she has also taken a liking for licking her cone too.... so silly! Get well soon Coco! Mama and papa loves you!
With my upcoming move to the Great White North, lots of changes in my life have been taking place. One being that Coco is going to have new, loving, adopted parents. We feel that it would be best for Coco to stay in California and we tried our best to find a suitable home, as well as loving new parents for her, and we did. Today is my last day with Coco, and as much as it tears me up thinking about it, I tried to make the most of it by spending the day with her. So, this video is my way, of telling you how much I love you, Coco. Words cannot describe what a special pup you are to me. You have brought me so much joy and compassion this past year, and you have kept my spirits up whenever I felt down. Your goofy grin is infectious and nothing warms my heart more than cuddling with you at the end of the day. I feel like sometimes people might misunderstand you, but I know that when given the chance, you can fill up so many hearts with joy. This is the last time I get to film you, but you have definitely left special pawprints in my heart. I will always think of you and love you, and happy early first birthday (September 29, 2012) with many more to come.
Little coco just got fully immunized with all her shots 1.5 weeks ago. The vet told me to wait 2 weeks before taking her for her first walk. However, it was 82F out today, in the end of January, how could I not resist this golden opportunity? So I geared up, and got ready for Coco's first walk and trip to the park! She was quite scared and nervous at first. It was painful just dragging her out the door, literally. I almost gave up. Somehow we made it outside, and she got her first taste of freedom, and I think she liked it. We had a blast, and we both came back exhausted. I warn you, I have no tripod and it is quite a feat to keep up with this little one, so please be bare with me. Enjoy!
