This video is for the song New Money which is featured on Tone P's (FLYBOY) album Dropping All Cash.
Included amongst the many colorful things in this video are shots of murals from the Mission area of San Francisco, The Bus Stop mural in Cleveland Heights on Cedar Hill, several butterflies from the California Institute of Science and works from artists at the 2013 Marin Street Painting Festival.
I was making this at the same time that I made the video for Dream Runnin' which is also featured on Dropping All Cash. That video is Black and White and I wanted to make one that was very colorful.
This is a video that I made of my friend Mandi Monique Bateman who is a Yoga teacher in San Francisco. It was shot in 2013 at the Marin Street Painting Festival in San Rafael, California. The music used is "Break the Dawn" by Michelle Williams.
I have been seeing butterflies all over the place this summer and then on Monday morning this bright yellow fuzzy caterpillar showed up on my doorstep. I kind of feel like it goes with the whole butterfly thing that has been going on in my life.
I don't know if this means that I should become a Buddhist, a Lepidopterist, a Buddhist Lepidopterist or if I am missing the point completely but there is definitely something going on here and I think I might have just figured it out.
I shot this with a Canon T3i and the 18 -135 lens that it came with.
The music is the instrumental of Look At Me Now by Chris Brown because there is a lot of yellow in that video and this caterpillar made me think about that.
