P-11 Chair designed by Maxim Scherbakov.
Produced, Edited, Sound and Camera: Lesha Galkin
The main goal was - to create a chair with complex polygonal shapes simple to manufacture without using any fasteners.
The chair consists of a white metal frame and plywood triangles that form the seat and the back. The plywood elements are glued together, thus creating a very reliable and simple joint of the two materials.
Step by step Philipp Käfer shows how he builds the incredible "No Cardboard" furniture. The lightweight material reminds of corrugated cardboard but it is actually made of aluminium. It is well known in vehicle and aircraft construction. The Designer used it to create a piece that is meant to last for decades in contrast to the paper look alike. For more information please visit
