This video has been produced by Treasure Images Sdn Bhd (http://www.treasure-images.com) for the Mabul World Turtle Day Organizing Committee.
Turtle Day is celebrated worldwide since 2000 in a variety of ways.
Mabul World Turtle Day 2013 is the first time that a major Turtle Day awareness event has been organized in Malaysia. Next to awareness activities and scuba diving lessons for school children, the event gives volunteers the opportunity to become a research assistant for a day, helping with catching, measuring and tagging Turtles. The research project is led by Dr. Pushpa M. Palaniappan of Borneo Marine Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
Movie actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh happened to be in Mabul Island on a vacation and spontaneously offered her support during one of the turtle tagging session.

This is the sizzle reel for a documentary series based on the Maritime Mysteries Explorers.
Husband and wife team, Hans and Roze Berekoven are the Maritime Mysteries Explorers. They are self-taught marine archaeologists and researchers.
Sunda Shelf Archaeology Project is dedicated to the search for evidence of a possible Ice-age civilisation in the waters over the Sunda Shelf in Southeast Asia at a time when that area was dry land. This theory has gained prominence among a number of scholars such as Dr. Stephen Oppenheimer and the late Professor Ayrsio Santos, both who have written books on the subject. In his book, Oppenheimer calls the region Sundaland and believes it is the cradle of a lost 'founder' civilisation from which all post Ice-age Asian civilisations came from.
Documentary series developed by the Berekoven's, Eric Madeja of Treasure Images Sdn Bhd and Clifford Terry. More information is available on their blog, http://berekoven54.blogspot.com.au/.
