    More about Jay
    Jay Shaw is a professor of philosophy at the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He is the first New Zealand-based philosopher to be honoured with a Festschrift entitled Contemporary Philosophy and J. L. Shaw. This book includes essays by leading philosophers and logicians from all over the world honouring Dr. Shaw’s philosophy and his academic contribution.

    Jay's publications include over 10 books and 80 papers on topics, such as meaning, subject and predicate, negation, consciousness, belief, knowledge, higher order cognition, number, existence, causality, perception, inference, verbal testimony, freedom and harmony, in international journals and anthologies.

    He has a career spanning over 40 years, across multiple countries, and is also the founder of the Society for Philosophy and Culture. An organisation dedicated to promoting interest in philosophy, encouraging cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary debate and discussion.
