1. 'The Budgie Man' is Don Crown, who busks on the South Bank with his budgerigars. He's been doing it for about twenty years, and has even been in a film with Peter Sellars. I went to meet him in his home town of Ilford, Essex, to see what makes him and his budgies tick. Filmed and edited by Donal Coonan. All music by Don Crown (The Budgie Man).

  5. For the Bees - A short documentary on Bedfordshire based beekeeper Gill Sentinella. When considering the brief, I wanted to explore the idea of a 'local hero' through the belief that ordinary people doing extraordinary things, have the potential to make a difference to the lives of others. Following a personal interest in environmental stories, I sourced Gill through a network of friends, as she represents someone doing good for the wider world. I worked alone, shooting on my HD camera - getting the audio as well as editing, mixing and grading on my Mac.
