1. (This is a student film, NO profit was made. All copyright to Hansel and Gretel by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm; Free Audio Book, this is NOT my audio)

This was in response to my first brief in my third and final year at University of South Wales, an open brief, a pop-up projection book of Hansel & Gretel.

I grew inspiration from the video The Icebook, by Davy and kristin McGuire, which you can see here vimeo.com/19348564. I loved it when I saw it and wanted to make my own in this style. So I did. I thought that Hansel & Gretel lent itself perfectly to the design style.

I started by building the individual sets out of card. These were going to be the structure of each shot. I Projected through the card to reveal the storyline and then filmed, edited, colour corrected the footage and added the audio. I created a brief title opening and end credits to help draw the piece together as a whole.

I want to Thank my tutor Gina who took time out to help me carry my projection box and sets back and forth to university. I want to thank Gareth, one of the Graphics tutors who helped me find quicker and better methods to cut my sets out and to get the best intricate details out in the best quality.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of my actors and actresses, I wouldn't have been able to make this without you, so thank you.

I also would like to thank Hannah Davies for helping me in the studio when setting up and filming the final piece.

This project took 8 weeks in the end, even though it was meant to be a 6 week project. If your interested in the concept development, It is on my blog sineadmgfx.tumblr.com

I used on this project- 7D 16mm lense, Photoshop, AE, Premier Pro, Speed grade
